"Africa Freakout", recently compiled by Jazzman (on Spiritual Jazz 2 ) is also beautiful warm cut but the whole album is a succesful blending of African music and modal / hard bop jazz. Brilliant ! Graziella & Jef Gilson JUST SOLD
Toujours je danse EP (Decca) 1966, France

Here is a "rumored unreleased" 7" modal jazz / chansons 4 tracks 7" EP produced and composed by french jazz unsung hero Jef Gilson. Obscure artist Graziella sings delicate love songs over some tracks previously composed by Gilson for some of his early albums like on the superb "Toujours je danse" recently compiled by Jazzman, which is in fact an uptempo vocal version of "Modalités pour Mimi" from the Jazz à Gaveau. The whole EP is superb with "Seulement l'embrasser" that is also a heavy modal tune, "Dans la neige et le vent" & "Je ne me rappelle plus" also seems to come from the "A Gaveau" Sessions. Cleary impossible to find and never sold on the Net before ... In fantastic condition, cover has still the paper tab. Ask for more infos & price.
