Raphaël NEW
Stop, Look, Listen (Selection) 1972, Belgium

Ultra hard to find little known jazz album which I consider as a European Spiritual Jazz masterpiece. Recorded in Belgium in 1972 by American (or Canadian) born pianist Phil Raphaël with the help of talented (but quite unknown) belgian jazzmen. This brilliant album has a really unique and seldom heard sound melting different musical styles like be-bop, deep vocal jazz and rock. Many musicians tried their hand at fusion around that time, but this album is unequalled in its lyrical, poetic chemistry. Stop, look, listen and send a nice offer…

Jacques Thollot NEW
Watch the Devil Go (Palm) 1971, France

Definitely the best album by unsung French jazz drummer genius (though "Cinq Hops" is also excellent), Watch Devil Go features sax, flute and synth player Francois Jeanneau. Totally freak out mix of hard bop to freakout jazz, weirdo electronics tracks too. But let the soundclip speaks for itself.
