Salah Ragab NEW
Unreleased Egyptian Jazz (Jazzmanrecord) 2012, France

Another great project released by Jazzmanrecords, previously-unreleased ethnic jazz from the legendary Egyptian drummer! Before the re-release of his album with the Cairo Jazz Band, the name Salah Ragab was best known to jazz fans and record collectors by way of another LP that was recorded with Sun Ra in the early ‘70s. His album ‘Prism Music Unit’ with the Cairo Jazz Band was released in Egypt with another by the Cairo Free Jazz Ensemble, but perhaps only Salah himself knew of the other songs he had recorded at the time, but didn’t make it onto these LPs. (Jazzman 2012)

Aris San NEW
Songs of the Mediterranean (CBS - S 63665) late 60', Greece

Seldom seen album by Greek guitarist Aris San who became famous and made career in Israel. Features many songs with a strong oriental/mediterranenan climax as title suggest but also some garage beat cuts. Don't miss out the beat "Bo'ee Marcelle" (come, Marcello), a nice uptempo oriental freak beat garage cut with wild sax and fuzz guitar solos. This is probably his rarest album. Copy in great condition.

Alex Weiss NEW
Mazel Tov (CBS) 197?, CBS

Back In Stock ! We keep on digging on the Israeli CBS catalogue and found on a Jewish Wedding record a killer Oriental Mod Funk cut called "Beat" by Alex Weiss, with raw organ sounding a bit like Paul Mille Organaboe, nice guitar and funky clarinet hook ! Starting with a short but massive banging hip-hop open drums on the intro ! Peep the clip of this obscurity !
