Various
Bippp (Born Bad Records) 2006, France

Compiled by Parisian indie label Born Bad, looks to introduce Marie Moor, Deux, Ruth , lo-fi recordings and even lower promo budgets, bands like ACT, Comix/TGV and Vox Dei danced in a grey area between the tail end of the DIY Punk movement and the upswing of New Wave, pushing the guitars further out of the equation and placing the synthesizer’s cold resonance at the forefront of their sound. A must have.

Os Resentidos
Vigo Capital Lisboa (Grabaciones Accidentales) 1984, Spain

First release by cult galician post punk band Os Resentidos. Totally twisted production with electronics drums box, saturated guitars, synth, galician bagpipes with crazy singer Antón Reixa, giving a great no wave, folk, electro funky punk album. Could be compared to a kind of James Chance mixed with some Throwbing Gristle insertion ... many great cuts on this rare Lp. Recommended. Check the audio.

Rick Rubin / Warren Bell / Joel Horne / Rik Rosen
Hose (Def Jam recordings) 1982, USA

Early "artcore" band composed by guitarist Rick Rubin, bassist Warren Bell, drummer Joel Horne, and lead singer Rick Rosen, was often touted as the East Coast's answer to Flipper. The band's slow-paced, blues-influenced sound was mostly designed and produced by Rubin, who embodied the best of the era's DIY attitude that continued on to his later career as a top record producer. Produced in a dorm activity room with a basic "boombox" and a single microphone. This lp mixes originals with slowed-down covers of pop soul tunes like Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing", and Rick James' "Superfreak". Jacket with Rubin's interpretation of a Mondrian-inspired design.

Claustrofobia
El Silencio (musica per a nits de luxe i solitud) (Austins records) 197, Spain

Great Spanish electronic post punk/cold wave band. This is their 1st lp released in 1984.Minimal synth all through, angst vocals, the typical cold waveish bassline....reminds me a mix of Sad Lovers and Giants, Chameleons, Tuxedomoon at times. All these with the Spanish temperament of course. Awesome record. The void track "El Silencio" interesting for those who like.
