Erik Tagg ‎– Rendez Vous (Poker ‎– POL 25041 – Netherlands – 1977)

Sold out

Second solo album by American singer, keyboardist and songwriter Eric Tagg. After starting his career in the Netherlands with Beehive (1973–1974) and later Rainbow Train (1975–1979), Tagg developed a unique sound sitting somewhere between blue-eyed soul, soft rock and late 70s jazz fusion.

A cult favorite among AOR and smooth jazz collectors, Rendez-Vous delivers that unmistakable late-70s West Coast atmosphere — warm grooves, silky arrangements and melodic songwriting from start to finish. The album feels like a perfect soundtrack for romantic escapism and late-night cruising.

Highlights include the dreamy opener “Got to Be Lovin’ You,” the breezy title track “Rendez-Vous,” the beautiful instrumental “Marja’s Tune,” and the soulful “Mutual Feeling".
