This overlooked album by popular Cameroonian musician and bandleader Nkotti François, together with his band Les Black Styl, was released in France, most likely in the late 1970s or early 1980s.
As usual with Nkotti, you can expect powerful, funky African rhythms—especially on the Afro-disco bomb that opens the album, "Nja Ka", featuring a massive drum kick and an ultra-funky saxophone solo.
"Muwaso Mwa Longe" is another standout track from this great artist—a raw, straight-up funk groove with a touch of psychedelia once the guitar solo kicks in. It’s guaranteed to light up any dancefloor!
The final track on the LP, "Eyeo Me Ndi", is pure Makossa in classic, funky Cameroonian style—a perfect way to close this hidden gem of a record.
Record is EX plays excellent with a few very light crackles on the into (actual soundclips on our instagram) / Sleeve is clean but has a large water damage mark on back.
