Ronald Mesquita – Bresil 72 (Barclay – 920.398 - France - 1972)
150,00 € / Sold Out
First solo album by bossa nova drummer Ronnie Mesquita who used to play in trio in the late 60's and founded his tropicalia Jazz band after touring worldwide in the early 70's. This "Brésil 72" is an amazing mix of groovy Bossa Nova rhythms, MPB songs, Soul-Jazz and Fusion. Like on the beautiful cover of Nasicmento's "Cançâo Do Sal-Tema De Tostâo" or the deep groovy jazz samba "Dabadeia". The version of Jorge Ben's "Balança Pema" classic Bossa MPB Jazz is just sublim ! Also don't miss "Zanzibar" or "Papagayo". The whole album is good for the beginning to the end !
